Log cabin options and upgrades explained
Every Satus Baltic model can be configured with a choice of wall thickness, 19 or 28 mm floor boards, standard or upgraded foundation joists, bituminous shingle or metal roofing, standard or premium windows and doors, wooden shutters, and roof and floor insulation. This page explains what each option does and when it is worth choosing.

Foundation joists
All buildings stand on a timber base of 44 × 70 mm joists. The upgrade adds a second layer of 70 × 70 mm joists laid crosswise. It lifts the building further off the ground for better protection from moisture and leaves space for thicker floor insulation.
Roof covering
Bituminous shingles come in several colours. Metal roofing is supplied with matching gutters. Both can be combined with roof insulation to keep the interior warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Windows and doors
Windows and doors are produced in our own joinery. The premium range has tilt-and-turn windows with superior seals, meeting European standards for insulation and durability.
Frequently asked questions
Which upgrades matter most for year-round use?
A double wall, roof insulation, floor insulation and premium windows, in that order of effect. Thicker 28 mm floor boards add comfort underfoot.
Can I order a cabin without a floor or without windows?
Yes. Garages and workshops are often ordered without a floor, and any building can be supplied without windows and doors if you source them locally.
